Back with another digital painting. I’ve been really enjoying those little digital portrait studies I’ve been doing lately and I wanted to experiment a bit and figure out if this type of style might be suitable for a more complete full Illustration. I had a blast working on this and while I am super done with painting tons of fruits and veggies for the unforeseeable future, I am quite happy how it turned out.
I had this idea for a little illustration series of little shops and market stands for quite some time now. I really enjoyed the “Streetfood” series on Netflix quite a bit and while it tries to pull at the audience’s heartstrings a bit too much from time to time I really loved that focus on the individual characters and their little shops. I don’t know but this concept of just being a normal human being, carving out a humble existence has always been very appealing to me and that series really spoke to me in that way.
Anyway, it sparked this idea for this Illustration and a bunch more I have already planned. I was not sure about how I wanted to go about it and a few days ago I figured out what I would like to go for with these as far as style and medium is concerned :)
